Chicago tech rocking out for a cause!

The video above explains the first ever Chicago Tech Rocks pretty well, but if you happened to get distracted by the incredible costumes (like this writer did) here's a quick recap:

Synap Software Labs and the Chicago Leadership Alliance, are joining forces to bring together the Chicago tech community in support of local organizations focusing on tech education and training. The big headlining act is a super awesome garage rock band from Chicago that, for contractual reasons, won't be announced until closer to the event. They'll be taking a break from their international tour to support the cause! The event will also feature in-house bands hailing from several different Chicago tech companies, including The Locals, Goodnight Criminals from Centro, and The Daytonics.
